Just three months after its initial release Amazon’s Kindle Fire is already available as a refurbished model.
Amazon is selling refurbished Kindle Fire units at a 10 percent discount, bringing the cost down to $180. That really isn’t much of a discount, but it’s something. The price really isn’t as much of a surprise as the timing. Three months isn’t a lot of time between release and the sale of refurbs. I guess a lot of people were disappointed in the tablet and sent it back. That’s the only real explanation as to why Amazon would have enough used Kindle Fires to start selling refurbished units.
